This free community event is being hosted by Weymouth & Portland Primary Care Network and Weymouth Town Council.

Activities on the Day
Dementia Therapy Shetland Ponies
Come and meet two friendly Shetland ponies who regularly visit people living with dementia and bring comfort, enjoyment and companionship.
Nordic Walking Taster Sessions
Give Nordic walking a try and find out how this gentle activity can support your physical and mental wellbeing.
Information and Support Stands
A wide range of local organisations will be attending to provide information, advice and support for people living with dementia and their carers.
Drop in to a free talk or workshop
Self-Compassion for Carers
Delivered by Dorset Mental Health Forum
This workshop is designed to help carers understand the importance of looking after their own wellbeing and provide practical ways to be kinder to themselves while caring for others.
Dementia Awareness & Support Talk
Delivered by Age UK
Learn more about dementia, the support available, and practical tips for people living with dementia and those who care for them.

We want to make it as easy as possible for people to attend. Additional public transport options will be available for the event.
